Visitors to our website should be concerned about the privacy of information. Following, please find an honest description of our privacy policy regarding information, including every visitor’s Personal Information (this is defined below), which includes any information on visitors that we collect as a function of this website. When you enter and use this website you agree to accept all practices we describe within our Privacy Policy.
HOW WE MODIFY THIS PRIVACY POLICY
TOT reserves our right to change or in any way we choose to modify our Privacy Policy at any time, and without prior notice. When and if changes are made, TOT will post this Privacy Policy with it’s changes, which visitors can always access by clicking on the “Privacy Policy” link on this site’s home page. Your continued use of the TOT site indicates your acceptance of the amended Privacy Policy. Regarding Personal Information (defined below), if any modifications are less restrictive concerning TOT’s use or disclosure of Personal Information previously disclosed by you, we will notify and ask for your consent before implementing those revisions effecting your information.
THE TYPES OF INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Personal Information.
We collect information from you that is protected for your privacy and/or your data security (your “Personal Information”). Any Personal Information we receive from you, then keep can vary according to separate purposes you have provided it. Information collected can include the following or other categories: name, physical address, an email address, phone number, credit card information including credit card number, expiration date, and billing address, and location data.
Non-Personal Information.
We express TOT’s right to collect anonymous information, like the type of your browser, the URL from a previous website to which you may have connected, your computer’s operating system and it’s (IP) Address, it’s domain and host name, your Internet Service provider, any clicks data, and dates and times you have accessed the TOT site and any individual pages. TOT considers all “Non-Personal Information” as anonymous when we collect it.
WHEN AND HOW WE COLLECT YOUR INFORMATION
Personal Information.
We collect Personal Information as you provide it to TOT. We collect Personal Information through sign-up forms and/or as part of registration to any account, service or product from the TOT website. Personal Information we collect can vary according to different sign-ups or registrations.
Your Communications With TOT.
TOT may collect certain Personal Information received from you when you communicate with TOT.
Analytical and/or Passive Information.
TOT reserves our right to monitor your use of the TOT website. As you navigate on the TOT site, Non-Personal Information might be collected passively (which means it could be gathered without the information being actively provided by you) using various technologies, such as cookies or similar web tools.
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We may use Personal Information in order to perform services/transaction (the reason you gave the Personal Information, for our private/internal reports on the TOT site, so as to make necessary security assessments for the TOT site. General Disclosure Policy.
TOT will not rent, sell, provide access to or share your Personal Information to others. TOT will only make an exception to this when and if you explicitly approve it on the TOT site. We reserve the right to disclose Non-Personal Information without restriction. We reserve the right to provide access to your Personal Information and Non-Personal Information to TOT trusted service providers – those service providers assisting us with the operation and maintenance of this site. These may include third parties that TOT contracts with in order to process payments, host the TOT servers, provide TOT website security or who provide other needed services. Our service providers will be given access to your information only when reasonably necessary to provide TOT with the services they are contracted with TOT to provide.
TOT will never transfer part or all of any TOT assets which would include transfer of any of your Personal Information and Non-Personal Information. TOT does reserve the right to disclose your Personal Information and Non-Personal Information if we have a good faith belief that this access, use, preservation or disclosure is reasonably necessary to satisfy any law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request, to comply with a subpoena or court order; including if necessary to detect, prevent, and address fraud or other illegal activity or to investigate, respond to, or enforce violations of our rights or the security of the TOT site.
If your Personal Information may have been compromised, we will notify you as soon as we can under the circumstances. If you have provided us your email address, we will notify you by email. You are here by giving your permission for TOT to use your email address for this purpose.
TOT will not disclose your Personal Information to any marketing affiliates, even if they referred you to the TOT site for purposes of sales by us or to TOT resellers that may re-sell our products or services to you without your prior permission. TOT may necessarily disclose your Personal Information to a marketing partner that participates in the offer or fulfillment of an offer from TOT. When TOT Acts as a Marketing Affiliate, Partner or Reseller for Others.
TOT may act as a marketing affiliate, partner, or reseller for certain of our marketing partners for purposes of selling or recommending their products or services to you, and we have the right to disclose your Personal Information to them for purposes of compensation, transaction processing, fulfillment, and support. These marketing partners may also email you regarding complimentary products or services, however, you have two ways to opt out of receiving these emails: One is to contact us (as provided below under the Contact Us heading) with a request to opt out. The second way is to wait until you receive an email from them and then unsubscribe.
California Privacy Rights. As described above, from time to time, after receiving your permission to do so, we may make your Personal Information available to third parties. Of course the TOT opt-out option is available to all of our users.
Third-Party Advertising Partners.
TOT has non now and does not plan in the future to have any third-party advertising partners with which we will agree to those type relationships.
SPECIFIC INFORMATION ABOUT COOKIES
In order to provide better service for the TOT site, we may use Cookies to collect Non-Personal Information to store your preferences and information about what pages you visit and past activity at our site. “Cookies” are tiny pieces of information stored by your browser on your computer’s hard drive. Flash Cookies – third party cookies that use an Adobe Flash Media Player local shared object (LSO) – may be used along with other third-party cookies for purposes of crediting any purchase you may make on this site to one of our affiliate marketing partners that may have referred you to us. For example: You may click a link on the TOT site that sends you to Amazon to consider purchasing a TOT published book. These cookies will only be used for purposes of crediting sales to the referring affiliate and not for other purposes such as serving behavioral ads. Flash cookies are not the same as “browser cookies”. The Adobe Flash Media Player is software that enables users to view content on their computers. Web Beacons – sometimes called single-pixel gifs or clear gifs – are used to assist in delivering cookies, and they allow us to count users who have visited pages of our site. Google Analytics. We reserve the right to use Google Analytics, a web analytics service of Google, Inc. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of TOT’s website, compiling reports on website activity, and providing other services relating to website activity and Internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however, please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.
Google’s AdSense Program. TOT has no plans to use the Google’s AdSense Program.
DO NOT TRACK REQUESTS
Some Web browsers incorporate a “Do Not Track” feature that signals to websites that you visit that you do not want to have your online activity tracked. Each browser communicates “Do Not Track” signals to websites differently, making it unworkable to honor each and every request correctly. In order to alleviate any communication error between browsers and website, TOT does not respond to “Do Not Track” signals at this time. As the technology and communication between browser and website improves, TOT will reevaluate the ability to honor “Do Not Track” signals and may make changes to TOT policy.
DATA SECURITY
TOT will implement reasonable and appropriate security procedures consistent with prevailing industry standards to protect data from unauthorized access by physical and electronic intrusion. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or method of data storage can be guaranteed 100% secure. Therefore, while TOT will always strive to protect your Personal Information by following generally accepted industry standards, TOT can’t ensure or warrant the absolute security of any information you transmit to us or archive within the TOT site. When you transmit Personal Information through our registration process or if you purchase products or services, we encrypt that information in transit using secure socket layer technology (SSL).
ONWARD TRANSFER OUTSIDE YOUR COUNTRY OF RESIDENCE
Any Personal Information which TOT may collect on the TOT site will be stored and processed in TOT servers located only in the United States. By using the TOT site, if you reside outside the United States, you consent to the transfer of Personal Information outside your country of residence to the United States.
UPDATING PERSONAL INFORMATION
When you request it, we will allow you to make changes or to update your Personal Information for legitimate purposes of your choosing. TOT will always request identification proof prior to approving this type of request. TOT reserves the right to decline a request when it appears systematic, unreasonably repetitive or when it might require unreasonable time or effort by our or administrative or technical personnel. I may also be declined if it would seem to undermine any other party’s personal privacy rights. TOT reserves the right to permit access to your Personal Information in any account you may have established within the TOT site for purposes of making your own changes. In certain cases, TOT may, where needed, the instructions for making such changes or updates.
OPT-OUT of EMAIL MESSAGES
After supplying TOT with your e-mail address, messages from TOT may be sent to you occasionally with information specific to the TOT site. These messages are often required for the normal functioning of the TOT site as well as notify you of a posted newsletter, new books, Bible studies or upcoming events or other offers from TOT. If you prefer not to receive these periodic email messages, you may opt-out by following the instructions in the email.
LINKS TO OTHER SITES
The TOT site may contain links to other websites with whom we have a relationship. These links may include online advertisements that we deem to be appropriate. If you do click on any of the links to their websites or accept any of their promotional offers, your click-through information and any information that you provide in the process of registration or purchase will be transferred to these sites. TOT has no responsibility or liability for the policies and practices of these sites; however, if and when TOT choses to enter into an agreement with another website, TOT will provide the data necessary and unless you specifically request otherwise, TOT will use and share your Personal Information only for the purpose of providing or fulfilling your request for products or services. You should be careful to review any privacy policies posted on any of these sites before providing information to them.
CHILDREN’S ONLINE POLICY
TOT is committed to preserving online privacy for all of its website visitors, including children. The TOT site is a general audience site. Consistent with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), TOT will not knowingly collect any information from, or sell to, children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian who has discovered that your child under the age of 13 has submitted his or her personally identifiable information without your permission or consent, TOT will remove the information from our active list, at your request. To request the removal of your child’s information, please contact our site as provided below under “Contact Us”, and be sure to include in your message the same login information that your child submitted.
